Taunton: Betsy Louise (Garner) Buckman, a Taunton resident for over 15 years, died suddenly at her home on Tuesday, July 22, 2008. She was 53 years of age.
She was the former daughter of Shirley (Jabush) McGuire and the late Master Sergeant Frank Garner Jr. She was a homemaker for most of her life but she did take time to get an Associates Degree in the Arts from Blue Hills Vocational Technical School in Canton, Ma. She attended the Agape Chapel in Raynham, Ma.
In her spare time Betsy enjoyed art & crafts, oil painting, the music of Celene Deon and enjoyed decorating her home.
She leaves 2 children; Laurie Buckman and her husband Stephen Somario of Brockton, and Brian Buckman of Amherst, Ma. Also 1 sister, Jean Garner of Randolph as well as 1 niece and 1 nephew.
Betsy's funeral will be held on Friday evening at 8:00 P.M. at the Taunton Funeral Home, 8 Crapo Street. Pastor Don Fisher will be officiating. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting hours will be on Friday from 5-8 P.M. Cremation will follow the service.,
