Benjamin B. Roach, 72, of Mattapoisett died July 24, 2008 at Forestview Nursing Home after a long illness.
He was the loving husband of Patricia R. (Rebello) Roach.
Born in Drummondville, Quebec, Canada, the son of the late Talcott and Elizabeth (Castaldi) Roach, he lived in New Bedford and Mattapoisett most of his life.
Mr. Roach was formerly employed as a salesman with Sunshine Bakery, Burray Biscuit and Golden Cookies.
He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean War.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Wendy Melzar and her husband Dr. Stewart Melzar of Arizona; 2 brothers, Fred Roach and his wife Joyce of Montana and Malcolm Roach and his wife Marilyn of Florida; 2 grandchildren, Jacob and Lauren; several nieces and nephews.
His private Funeral Services are with the Saunders-Dwyer Mattapoisett Home For Funerals, 50 County Rd. (Rt. 6) Mattapoisett.
