William John “Bill” Cronin, 82, of Summerville, SC, beloved husband of 54 years to Catherine McNally Cronin died Wednesday morning, July 23, 2008 at Trident Medical Center, Charleston, SC.
Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, July 26, 2008 at 11 o’clock at St. John the Beloved Catholic Church, Summerville, SC. Rite of Committal with Final Commendation will follow at Dorchester Memory Gardens, 11000 Dorchester Road, Summerville, SC. Friends may call at the James A. Dyal Funeral Home, Summerville, SC from 6 until 8 o’clock Friday evening.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: St. John the Beloved Catholic Church Building Fund, 28 Sumter Ave., Summerville, SC 29483.
Mr. Cronin was born August 9, 1925, in Philadelphia, PA, son of the late Daniel and Anna Cordenner Cronin. He was a graduate of Northeast Catholic High School, Philadelphia, PA, Class of 1943. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Monsignor Madden Council #6629. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, bowling and playing cards. He retired after 45 years as warehouse manager with Uniroyal/Gates Rubber Company.

Daughters and sons: Catherine Beam and her husband Ted of Altoona, PA, Daniel Cronin and his wife Frances, Margaret (Peggy Burbage) Cronin, Therese Kramer and her husband Harold, Sharon Golden and her husband Craig and Edward Cronin all of Summerville, SC.
8 grandchildren: Therese Burton, Amanda, Samantha, Christine and Elizabeth Kramer, Paul, Cher and Jason Day.
10 great grandchildren: Brianna, Abigail, Alayna, Madisyn, Olivia, Dylan, Wyatt, Steven, Michael and Cary.
3 sisters: Mary Schmid of Philadelphia, PA, Betty Eberle of Feasterville, PA and Dorothy Hufnal of Philadelphia, PA.
He was predeceased by a sister and brother: Anna Ulmer and Dennis Cronin.
