Teresa O. (O'Donnell) Buckley, 90, of Dartmouth died Tuesday July 22, 2008 at New Bedford Rehabilitation Hospital. She was the wife of the late Joseph F. Buckley, M.D.
Born in New Bedford, the daughter of the late William F. and Mary Ann (Hughes) O'Donnell, she lived in New Bedford before moving to Dartmouth 30 years ago.
She was a communicant of St. Mary's Church.
Mrs. Buckley was formerly employed as an office manager for Whaling City Cable Television. She later worked at Village Travel in Dartmouth.
She was a graduate of New Bedford High School and the Katherine Gibbs School. She was a former member of the Catholic Women's Club.
She was an avid fan of the Boston Red Sox, the New England Patriots, the Boston Celtics, and Providence College basketball.
Survivors include four children, Joseph F. Buckley, Jr., and his wife Dolores, and Eileen M. Buckley, all of Dartmouth, Ann K. Buckley and her husband Thomas Miller of Mission Viejo, CA, and Kate Fuhst of Mattapoisett; two grandchildren, Katie and Chris Buckley; and several nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late Eileen Stuart, Dr. John O'Donnell, and Dr. William F. O'Donnell, Jr.
Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday at 9 AM in St. Mary's Church, South Dartmouth. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery.
