Mary E. Doherty, age 93, a life long resident of Winchester died July 21st, at the Sawtelle Family Hospice House in Reading following a brief illness. She was the beloved wife of the late John F. Doherty. Born in Winchester she was the daughter of the late John and Edith (Belanger) Lynch.
Mrs. Doherty was mostly devoted to her loving family and cherished time spent with her grandchildren. In her leisure time she enjoyed dancing and was a member of the Yankee Twirlers.
In addition to her late husband and parents, Mary is predeceased by her brothers, John, Ernest, Albert, Robert and Richard Lynch. She is survived by her children, Janice Julewitz and her husband Alex of Nashua, NH, John N. Doherty and his wife Carolyn of Melrose. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Lisa Fall, Stephanie Rodier, Scott Julewitz, Page Sampson, Lauren Kirby and great granddaughter Madeline Sampson. She is further survived by many nieces and nephews.
Her funeral will be held from the McLaughlin - Dello Russo Funeral Home 60 Pleasant St. Woburn, Thursday at 9 a.m. followed by funeral mass celebrated in St. Mary Church, 155 Washington St., Winchester, at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Wednesday 4 thru 8. Services will conclude with burial at Calvary Cemetery, Woburn.
