William G. “Bill” Carter, 40, of Derry, NH died Friday July 18, 2008 at his home. Bill was born in Lawrence, MA on July 1, 1968, a son of Joseph L. and Nancy E. (Arnold) Carter. Bill was raised and educated in Lawrence where he lived for many years before moving to Kingston and Derry, NH. While growing up in Lawrence, Bill played in the Tower Hill Little League and enjoyed playing hockey. He later wrestled for the Lawrence Vocational School. Bill was a craftsman and carpenter and was also very proud of his successful career in computers. Bill loved the outdoors and fishing and enjoyed spending time with family and with his many friends.
Bill is survived by his parents of Derry, two daughters, Rachel Carter and Jessica Carter both of Kingston, NH, two sisters, Ellen Carter and Stacy Carter both of Derry, two brothers, David Carter and Joseph Carter both of Derry, also several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and one grandniece.
Calling hours were held Wednesday July 23, 2008 from 4 – 8pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry. Funeral services were held on Thursday at 10:30am in the funeral home with cremation to follow.
