Salem: Lucienne ‘Lucy’ M. (Girard) Dixon, age 97 of Salem, died Saturday, July 19, 2008 at the Essex Park Rehabilitation & Nursing Center in Beverly, following a long illness.
She was the wife of Robert Dixon, with whom she shared 57 years of marriage.
Born and raised in Salem, she was the daughter of the late Edmond and Alma (Tremblay) Girard. A life long resident of Salem, Lucy was a member of Ste. Anne Parish.
In addition to her husband Robert, she is survived by many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
Lucy was the last surviving member of eleven siblings. She was predeceased by 6 brothers: Peter, Joseph, Emile, Lucien, Edmond and Oliver Girard and 4 sisters: Corinne Smith, Elizabeth Banville, Elba Sharrock and Marguerite Tougas.
Relatives and friends are invited to her funeral services on Tuesday, July 22, 2008 at 10 am in the Levesque Funeral Home, 163 Lafayette St. [Rt. 114 / 1-A] Salem.
