Gladys Windham Moore, 84, of Ridgeville, widow of Leroy Moore, Sr. died Friday, July 18, 2008 at Trident Medical Center.
Funeral service will be held Monday, July 20, 2008 at 11 o’clock at James A. Dyal Funeral Home Chapel, Summerville. Burial will follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Cross. Friends may call at the funeral home from 9 o’clock until the hour of service on Monday.
Flowers will be accepted.
Mrs. Moore was born December 3, 1923 in Dorchester County, daughter of the late Christopher and Althear Windham. She attended schools in Dorchester County. She was a homemaker and attended Knightsville Church of God.
Surviving are:
1 son: Leroy Moore, Jr. of Ridgeville
8 grandchildren: Bruce Wayne Moore of Summerville, Debra D. Gonzalez of Strawberry, Richard Lee Moore, Stephen Gary Moore of Pineville, Jimmy Osborne of Lexington, Scott Osborne of Charlotte, Marvin Estes and James Estes both of Moncks Corner.
14 great grandchildren
2 sisters and 2 brothers: Beatrice Henise of Goose Creek, Maralyn Warmoth of Summerville, Horace Windham, Jr. of Lincolnville and Charlie Windham of Jedburg.
She was predeceased by brothers and sisters: Genelder Ulmer, Jennings Windham, Leila Runnel, Ernest Windham, Eunice Blair and Flonnie Rickman.
