BROWN, MARVIN
Marvin Brown, 82, of Charleston, died Thursday, July 17, 2008 at Roper Hospital.
Family and friends are invited to attend his funeral service on Tuesday, July 22, 2008 at 10 o’clock at James A. Dyal Funeral Home Chapel, 303 S. Main Street, Summerville. Burial will follow in Carolina Memorial Park, Rivers Ave., North Charleston. Friends may call at the funeral home Monday evening from 6 until 8 o’clock.
Flowers will be accepted.
Mr. Brown was born April 11, 1926 in Alberto, GA son of the late Bradley Brown and Vinnie Mae Freeman Brown. He joined the Navy during World War II and retired from the United States Air Force. He always cut grass for the elderly and was very involved with his church, Church of God, West Ashley. Mr. Brown was an avid Atlanta Braves fan.
Survivors include: three sisters; Mary Brown Williams of Charleston, Louise Brown Hocker of California, Sara Brown McDonald of Clinton, SC, three nieces; Donna Jean Harrison, Marilyn Tyson and Debra Pliske, three great nieces; Lisa Stokes, Kaaren Carder, and Brandi Williams, two nephews; Charles Williams, II and Danny Brown and three great nephews; Ronald Dexter Carder, Charles M. Williams, III and Brock Williams. He was predeceased by a nephew; Jimmie Williams.
