Obituary

FALL RIVER … Irene A. (Charron) Durette, 73, of Fall River died, Friday, July 18, 2008 after a long illness.
She was the widow of Leodore “George” Durette.
She was born in Fall River a daughter of the late Arthur and Irene Frazer) Charron and had lived most of her life in Fall River. She had lived in New Bedford from 1975-2004.
She had been a communicant of St. John Neumann Church, East Freetown where she was an Eucharistic Minister, a former member of the choir, and former member couples club.
Mrs. Durette enjoyed arts and crafts, embroidering, making rosary beads, and working with her hands. She attended an adult literacy course for nine years.
Survivors include 3 sons: Donald Durette of Onset, Daniel Durette and his wife Cindy, and Robert Durette all of New Bedford, 2 brothers: Henry Charron of Fall River and Eli Charron of Swansea, 2 sisters: Loretta “Loree” Braga of Fall River, Anita Lopes of Dighton, and Yvonne Paiva of Taunton, a granddaughter Angela Corderre of Swansea, several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Roland Charron, Edward Frazer, Armand Charron, and Aura Fortier.
Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be held Tuesday at 9 AM from the SOUTH COAST FUNERAL HOME, 1555 Pleasant Street (508) 672 – 0291), followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM at Holy Name Church, Hanover Street, Fall River. Calling hours Monday 5 – 8 PM. Interment in Notre Dame Cemetery.
