Obituary

Paul V. DeFalco of Warwick died Saturday, July 19, 2008 at his home. He was the husband of Rita A. DeFalco.
Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Paul V. and Petrina (Angelone) DeFalco. He had been a resident of Warwick for the past six years after moving from Punta Gorda, FL. He previously lived in Glocester for 19 years.
Paul was a graduate George J. West Jr. High where he received all-around excellence and the Anthony Medal. He was a member of the RI Honor Society, a graduate of LaSalle Academy and Providence College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics. He continued his education at Boston College and also graduated from Wisconsin School of Banking. He was a US Army Veteran and later transferred to the US Air Force.
Paul served 12 years as a Commissioned National Bank Examiner, Office of Comptroller of the Currency, US Treasury Department. After serving with the treasury Department he was employed by RI Hospital Trust Corporate Division, Credit Department where he formulated the bank’s first Credit Policy Manual. He held the positions of Vice-President, Department Head and First Vice-President at RI Hospital Trust. He was a member of Leadership RI.
As all of Paul’s friends and family will attest, he was a man of integrity, and known to be friendly and always willing to help others in his work, social, and family life. He was an avid boater, fisherman, and golfer, where he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He will be greatly missed.
He was the proud and loving father of his two sons, Paul V. DeFalco of Glocester and Derek M. De Falco of North Scituate, grandfather of Chelsea L. Malone of North Providence and Dillon M. DeFalco of North Scituate and brother of Jeannine Vaughn.
Funeral Tuesday 11 am from the ANDERSON-WINFIELD Funeral Home, Route 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville. Graveside service will follow in Acote’s Hill Cemetery, Chepachet. Visitation Monday 4-7pm.
