Rita T. McGlynn, 85, of Marion died July 18, 2008 at St. Luke's Hospital.
She was the daughter of James and Teresa (Sullivan) Blossom.
Miss McGlynn was born in New Bedford, she lived in New Bedford before moving to Mattapoisett during the 1950's and then to Marion in 2002.
She was a communicant of St. Rita's Church, Marion.
Miss McGlynn was formerly employed by the New Bedford Area Center for Human Services and the United Fund in New Bedford as a bookkeeper.
She was a member of the New Bedford Catholic Women's Club, the Mattapoisett Women's Club, the Mattapoisett Senior Citizens and St. Anthony's Ladies Guild.
Survivors include several cousins.
She was the sister of the late Terrence McGlynn.
Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, July 22nd at 10 AM in St. Rita's Church. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery. Visiting hours Monday, July 21st from 4-8 PM in the Saunders-Dwyer Mattapoisett Home For Funerals, 50 County Rd. (Rt. 6) Mattapoisett.
