Nancy A. (Munies) Whitley, 58 years of Abington died Wednesday, July 16, 2008 at her home surrounded by family. She was the loving wife for 34 years of Paul W. Whitley.
She was born and raised in Brockton, a daughter of Martha (Shaw) Munies of Abington and the late Phillip Munies. Nancy attended the Girls Latin in Boston and was a 1968 graduate of Cardinal Spellman High School and she was also a graduate of Stonehill College Class of 1972.
Nancy was the insurance supervisor for the Raynham Taunton Greyhound for the past nine years, previous she was a senior underwriter for Aetna Casually in Boston and Brockton. Nancy loved her dog Clancy, reading and most especially entertaining. She was always worried about everyone else and put their needs before hers.
In addition to her husband and mother, she is survived by three brothers, John Munies and his wife Nancy of West Yarmouth, James Munies and his wife Sandy of E. Bridgewater and Russell Munies and his wife Jennifer of Middleboro and many nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews. She was the daughter in law of George and Mary Whitley of Canton, sister in law of Ellen Whitley of Quincy, Robert Whitley of Canton, Mary Whitley-Collins of Cohasset and Mark Whitley of Quincy.
Funeral from the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton Monday at 9am. Funeral Mass in the Chapel of Mary at Stonehill College, 320 Washington St., Easton at 10am. Burial in Calvary Cemetery, Brockton. Visiting hours Sunday 4-8pm.
