Mary C. Griffin, 85 of Lexington, died Sunday after a brief illness in the Lahey Clinic Medical Center, Burlington, MA.
Born in Medford, she lived in Lexington for the past 20 years and formerly of Medford and Lee. She was the daughter of the late Antoinette (DeStazio) and Nicholas Sarno. Mary was a Home Health Aide, employed by Inner City Health Care in the Medford area for 20 years and was still working up until her illness. Devoted mother of Peter Griffin and his wife Marybec of Huntsville, AL, and Donald Griffin and his wife Elizabeth of Lee. Loving grandmother of Shaun, Marybec, Michelle, Stephanie, Michael and Matthew. Also survived by 4 loving great grandchildren. Sister of Rose Swanson of Medford, and the late Eleanor MacDonald, Vera DellaRocca, Ann DelMastro and Joseph Sarno. Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., MEDFORD Friday at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Clement Church, 71 Warner St., Medford, at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Thursday 4 - 8. Services will conclude with burial at West View Cemetery, Lexington.
