Butler, Mark Joseph grew up in Teaneck, NJ, a short distance from Holy Name Hospital, where he was born on March 6th, 1963. Residing most recently in Los Angeles with his wife of 14 years, Jennifer Noa, also of Teaneck, Mark made his way there via Pittsburgh and Chicago. A wonderful husband, son, and brother, Mark was an avid bike rider, appreciator of music, loyal fan of his beloved Mets (as well as the Knicks, Giants and Rangers,) and dear friend to all. Diagnosed with colon cancer in September of 2004, he inspired everyone who knew him with his tenacity and good humor. He will be greatly missed by many friends and his enormous family, including his 62 first and second cousins, his niece Maddie, and his nephews Stephen, Kevin, Henry, Conor and James. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his mother, Mary Lyons, of Leonia, his brother Michael Butler, and sister Sharon Anderson. His father, Harold Butler, of Ridgefield Park, also survives him. Funeral services will be held at Volk Leber Funeral Home, 789 Teaneck Road, Teaneck. Visitation is from 2-4 & 7-9pm on Fri, July 18th, and a funeral service will be held at the same location at 10am Sat. the 19th.
