Worcester-Helen M (Mietkiewicz) Parzych 93 of 2 Fairfax Road, died March 16th in Saint Vincent Hospital at Worcester Medical Center.Her husband of fifty years, Stanley J Parzych died in 1985.
She is survived by a daughter Joan S wife of John J Murphy of Worcester a grandson Christopher Murphy of Louisville Kentucky and a brother Chester Mietkiewicz of Worcester. Two brothers Anthony and Carl Mietkiewicz both of Worcester, and two sisters Mary Kleczka of Worcester and Anne Knight of Holden pre-deceased her.Mrs. Parzych was born in Spencer Mass. a daughter of Joseph and Jadwiga (Chodkowski) Mietkiewicz and lived most of her life in Worcester.
She was educated at Saint Marys Schools in Worcester.She was a longtime member of Our Lady of Czestochowa Parish.
The funeral will be held Wednesday March 19th from The Henry-Dirsa Funeral Home 33 Ward Street with a Mass at 11am in Our Lady of Czestochowa Church 34 Ward Street Worcester. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery.Calling hours at the funeral home will be tomorrow, March 18th from 5 to 8pm.The family requests that flowers be omitted and that donations be made in her memory to The Memorial Fund of Our Lady of Czestochowa Church 34 Ward Street Worcester Mass. 01610.
