Anthony A. Colucci,76, of Smithfield and Cape Cod, died Monday, July 14, 2008 at Cape Cod Hospital. He leaves behind his beloved wife Virginia M. (Corey) Colucci, with whom he celebrated 50 years of marriage with this past May.
Born in Woburn, MA, he was the son of the late Felix and Sarah (Macomber) Colucci. He was a United States War Veteran. A graduate of Merrimack College, he was then employed by the Upjohn Pharmaceutical Company for over 35 years, and in 1986 achieved the highest award given within the company.
He was a devoted sports fan, enjoying his four sons as they played sports in high school and college, and eventually watching his grandchildren play his favorite sport, ice hockey. He was also an avid golfer, spending many winters in Venice, Florida and summers at Bass River, Cape Cod.
Besides his wife he is survived by his four sons, John Colucci and Stacey of Manalapan, NJ; James Colucci and his wife Nancy; Thomas Colucci and his wife Laurie, and their son Derek; and Stephen Colucci and his wife Susan, and their children, Cate, Meghan, Ryan and Kiley, all of North Scituate.
His funeral will be held Friday at 8:30 am from the *ANDERSON-WINFIELD Funeral Home, Route 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville, RI. Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30am in St. Philip Church, 622 Putnam Pike, Greenville, RI. Burial in St. Ann’s Cemetery, Cranston. Visitation Thursday 3-7pm.
