DARTMOUTH — Mrs. Olive E. (Holmes) Millspaugh White, age 95, of South Dartmouth, MA, died July 13, 2008, surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late F. Kimball White and the late Leonard W. Millspaugh, Sr.
She was born in Plymouth, MA, the daughter of the late Irwin Holmes and the late Grace Ellis Holmes. She lived in the New Bedford and South Dartmouth areas since 1940. Olive and her late husband, Kim, founded and operated "The Packet" specialty shop in Padanaram, MA.
Mrs. White was a member of the South Dartmouth Congregational Church and the St. Luke's Hospital Auxiliary. She enjoyed visiting with her many friends and will be missed for her strong sense of family.
Survivors include stepsons, James K. White and his wife, Evelyn and Gardiner W. White and his wife, Sonja, all of South Dartmouth; her sister, Betty Holmes Garuti of Plymouth, MA. She is remembered with love by her grandchildren, Robin and Bob Lake, Andrew and Jill White, Christopher White and Jo-Ann Taylor, Diane and Steve Joyce, Mark and Donna White and James White, Jr.; and her great-grandchildren, Todd, Sarah, Derek, Lindsey, Jackson, Steven, Brian, Michael, Zachary, Amanda; and several nieces and nephews.
Olive was the mother of the late Leonard W. Millspaugh, Jr., of West Palm Beach, Fla., and sister of the late Webster Holmes of Plymouth, MA.
At 10 a.m. Saturday, family members will attend the interment at the Oak Grove Cemetery in Plymouth, MA. At 2 p.m. a Memorial Service to which all family members and friends are invited will be held at The Congregational Church of S. Dartmouth, 17 Middle St., S. Dartmouth, MA.
