Isola Claire (Marcoux) Dillon, 89, of Palm Harbor, FL and Mattapoisett died Monday July 14, 2008 at St. Luke's Hospital. She was the wife of the late Roland E. Balthazar and James E. Dillon.
Born in New Bedford, the daughter of the late Arcade and Aglore (Monjeau) Marcoux, she lived in New Bedford until moving to Florida in 1969. She summered in Mattapoisett for many years.
Survivors include three children, Rev. Msgr. Norman G. Balthazar of Palm Harbor, Gerva L. Halle and her husband Leon of New Bedford, and Arthur D. Balthazar and his wife Constance of Fall River; five grandchildren, Dr. David A. Halle and his wife Dr. Karen J. Halle of Hingham, Peter R. Halle and his wife Christine of Fairhaven, Dr. Nicole V. Balthazar and her husband Dr. Alfredo Gonzalez of Falmouth, Michelle A. Murphy and her husband Patrick Murphy II of Quincy, and Tracy L. Pacheco and her husband Simpson of New Bedford; six great-grandchildren, Dailon Pacheco, Patrick Murphy III, Olivia Halle, Quinn Murphy, Cameron Gonzalez, and Owen Halle.
She was the grandmother of the late Michele L. Halle and Matthew N. Balthazar, and sister of the late Joseph, Laurier, and Arcade Marcoux, Jr.
Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday at 10 AM at Holy Name of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Visiting hours will be on Thursday from 6-8 PM at the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford.
