TAUNTON – Gwendolyn “Babe” (Finch) Wilson, wife of late Bertram “Boots” Wilson, died on July 15th at the Highlander Rehab & Nursing Center in Fall River at the age of 90.
Born in Raynham, she was the daughter of the late Lewis and Adaline (Atwood) Finch.
A resident of Taunton, formerly Raynham, she was educated in both Raynham and Taunton schools, and was a 1937 graduate of Taunton High School.
A homemaker for most of her adult life, she enjoyed playing cards, cooking and spending time with her family.
She was the mother of George R. Wilson and his wife Ruth of East Taunton; Carol A. Scanlon and her husband Raymond of Swansea, Linda L. Ouellette and her husband James of W. Wareham, Donna M. Ross of Taunton, and the late Wayne L. Wilson, Nancy Wilson and Bertram Wilson, Jr.
She was the sister of Phyllis Wilkinson of Fall River and the late Adaline Maxim.
Also surviving are 15 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held at the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Taunton on Friday, July 18th at 11 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Calling Hours will be Thursday, from 5 to 8 p.m. Interment will be at Pleasant St. Cemetery in Raynham
