WORCESTER - Gladys M. (Whitcomb) Luce, 83, of 1060 Main Street died Sunday, March 16 at home.
Her husband Francis H. Luce Sr. died in 1976. She leaves two sons Michael Luce of Worcester and Francis H. Luce Jr. of Norfolk; two daughters Cecelia "Cis" McSwiggan of Worcester and Joanne Boutin of Brookville, FL; a sister Eleanor Caranci of Barre; 7 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was born in New Braintree daughter of Charles and Ruth Edna (Sampson) Whitcomb.
Mrs. Luce was a machinist at Arrow Wholesale, retiring in 1976. She was a former member of St. Paul's Cathedral.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, March 20 at 10 AM in St. Paul's Cathedral, 15 Chatham Street. Burial will be in Hope Cemetery. There are no calling hours. Alfred Roy & Sons Funeral Home (www.Royfuneral.com) 12 Hammond Street is directing arrangements.
