Ellis "Aline" Hart, 80, of Tifton died Sunday, July 13, 2008, at Tift Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 16, 2008, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals. Eulogies will be given by her granddaughters, Ellis Elaine Baker Bailey and Vivian Ann Baker Akin. A private burial will be held at a later date. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 15, 2008, from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Mrs. Hart was born on March 20, 1928 in Wauchula, Florida and was the daughter of Ellis Alva Oliver and Ethel Mae Sapp Oliver, both deceased. She was also preceded in death by her husbands, Roscoe Hart, Lawson Gordon Noblitt and Atys Leroy Knight; one son, William Oliver Noblitt, who died in 1959; and one sister, Eleanor Humphries. She was a retired nurse of 22 years. She was a member of Antioch Baptist Church in Thonotosassa, Florida and a resident of Tifton for the last 30 years.
Mrs. Hart is survived by three daughters and two sons-in-law, Pamela Lucas of Cochran, Phyllis Arcelia and Butch Baker of Enigma, and Glendon and Tim Cunningham of Valdosta; three sisters, Edna Sikes, Elsie Powers and Evelyn Millan, all of Garden City; eight grandchildren and their spouses, Pamela Kaye and John Martin of Fort Worth, Texas, Eddie Donald Baker, Jr. of Fort Myers, Florida, Vivian Ann Baker Akin of Cochran, Ellis Elaine Baker Bailey of Tifton, Elbert Jessie Baker III of Enigma, Tabatha Nichole and Jody Long of Valdosta, Michael Wesley and Brandi Sumler of Quitman, and William Ivey Sumler of Chattanooga, Tennessee; 19 great grandchildren and their spouses, Chris Aultman of Clovis, New Mexico, Josh Martin of Fort Worth, Texas, Ashley Baker and Hunter Baker, both of Fort Myers, Florida, Laci and Matthew Cranford of Eastman, Zach Akin of Cochran, Evan Baker and Belynda Baker, both of Ocilla, Brian Sumler and Brittani Sumler, both of Quitman, Thad Long and Ryleigh Long, both of Valdosta, John Cravey Jr., Victoria Giddens, Daniel Reid Bailey, Tristen Lariviere, Maliah Baker and Sheridan Baker, all of Tifton, and Sharon Arden Sumler, grand-dog of Chattanooga, Tennessee; and four great great grandchildren, Aaleya Aultman and Zaiya Aultman, both of Clovis, New Mexico, and Matthew Cranford, Jr. and Raydon Luke Cranford, both of Eastman.
