Obituary

Victor Albert Pelletier Sr., 76, of Londonderry, NH, formerly of Nashua, NH, passed away on the afternoon of July 2, 2008 at Catholic Medical Center in Manchester, NH. Victor was born in Nashua in 1931, the son of the late Albert and Marie (Aubut) Pelletier of Nashua. He attended Nashua High School and participated in the local Boy Scouts of America troop number 255 as an Explorer Scout and troop leader (troop 257) as well as a member of the Order of the Arrow. Victor joined the Navy in 1948 at the age of seventeen. He served as an Aviation Machinist Mate for four years, stationed at the NAS Anacostia, DC, NAS Atlantic City, NJ, U.S. Navrecsta, Naval Base, Philadelphia, PA, as well as the aircraft carrier U.S.S. Midway. After an honorable discharge, Victor attended Lowell Technical College and employed at Sprague Electric and at Energy North (formerly known as Gas Service) in Nashua. Victor loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting and fishing with his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Grace (Gosselin); his five sons, Victor Jr. of Derry, NH, Thomas of Hudson, NH, Steven of, Londonderry, David of Lewiston, ME, and Joseph of, Londonderry; his sister, Evelyn Burton and her husband Wallace of Nashua; fourteen grandchildren; six great-grandchildren, and many friends.

Following cremation, calling hours were held at the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Rd.,Londonderry, on Monday, July 14th from 6 – 8pm. A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated at St. Mark’s Church, 1 South Road, Londonderry, on Tuesday at 10:00am. Inurnment will be held on Friday, August 1, 2008 at 11:00am at NH State Veteran’s Cemetery in Boscawen, NH with military honors.
