Robbie Lois Marshall, 84, Clarksville, passed from this earth to her heavenly Father's presence Wednesday, July 9, 2008, at her daughter's home. The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Neal-Tarpley Chapel with Dr. Roger Freeman officiating. Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday and from noon until the hour of the service Saturday at the funeral home. Neal-Tarpley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. She was born on August 1, 1923 to the late Gordon and Lela Harris in Montgomery County, TN. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother; a homemaker who devoted her life to others. As long as she was able, she visited the sick and those in the nursing homes. Over the years she sent thousands of cards giving encouragement for all she knew. She was an active member of First Baptist Church of Clarksville, and prayed daily for her family, friends, church family, and anyone in need. She will be greatly missed. She was preceded in death by her husband, Monroe Macon Marshall, and her sisters, Wilmoth Harris, Lucille Harris, and Margie Belle Stevenson. She is survived by her children, Macon Marshall of Smyrna and Joan Marshall Thomas (John) of Clarksville; her grandchildren, Holly Marshall Henry (Heath) of Murfreesboro, Julie Thomas Parrish (Brandon) and Jennifer Thomas, both of Clarksville;two step-grandchildren, K.C. Jones (Micky), Spring Hill, TN and Tammy Pope, Ft. Lauderdale, FL; two great-grandchildren, Ashtyn and MacKenzie Henry; five step-great-grandchildren and one brother, Henry Gordon Harris of Clarksville. Pallbearers will be Norman McWhorter, Carl Morrow, Jimmy McNeese, Joe Falls, Jerry White, and John Smith. Honorary pallbearers will be the Joy and Sunshine Sunday School Class from First Baptist Church of Clarksville.
