Shirley A. Poleo, 61 of Medford, died Saturday after a long illness in the Youville Hospital, Cambridge, MA.
Born and raised in Cambridge, she lived in Medford for the past 34 years. Shirley was employed by Beth Israel-Deaconess & Childrens’ Hospital in Lexington as an Assistant Supervisor of Shared Services for 12 years. She also was a member of Our Lady of Assumption Bowling League in Chelsea. Beloved wife of Anthony B. Poleo. Devoted mother of Anthony and Melissa Poleo both of Medford. Cherished daughter of Civita (Scurini) and Anthony Daveta of Cambridge. Loving sister of Domenic Daveta of Somerville and Elaine Nathan of Cambridge. Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., MEDFORD Wednesday at 8 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Raphael Church, 512 High St., Medford, at 9 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Tuesday 4 - 8. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
