BOSTON-Daniel W. Sullivan, 73, of Boston, died Saturday, July 5th in Youville Hospital, Cambridge. He leaves a sister, Virginia J. Richard and her husband Edward of Worcester; several nephews and nieces; and a great grandniece. He was predeceased by a sister, Mary E. Sullivan.
Mr. Sullivan was born in Worcester, the son of Andrew A. and Mary K. (Mara) Sullivan. He attended Worcester Junior College and was a graduate of the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy, where he received his Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy and was a member of the Rho Chi Honors Society and the Phi Delta Chi Fraternity. Mr. Sullivan was employed by Mass General Hospital as a pharmacist for many years, was the chief pharmacist for the Palm Beach County Health Department in Riviera Beach, FL and the 45th Street Mental Health Center, and was the acting chief pharmacist at Middlesex County Hospital until his retirement. He was then employed part time by the Franciscan Children’s Pharmacy. Mr. Sullivan was a U. S. Navy veteran and was a former member of Our Lady of the Angels Church, Worcester, the parish he grew up in. He enjoyed bowling.
The funeral is Thursday, July 10th from O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue, Worcester, with a Mass at 10:00 A.M. in Our Lady of the Angels Church, 1222 Main Street, Worcester. Burial will be in St. Roch’s Cemetery, Oxford. Calling hours are from 5:00 until 8:00 P.M. Wednesday, July 9th in the funeral home.
