Evans, GA – Mr. Leroy Hendricks Jr., 81, beloved husband of 37 years to Mrs. Dian Hendricks, crossed over into the arms of his Savior on Thursday July 3, 2008 after a long illness.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday July 8, 2008 at Westover Memorial Park with Rev. Tony Christie officiating.
Mr. Hendricks was a veteran of WWII, during which time he served in the Pacific Theatre as a flight crew member in the Navy. He enjoyed spending time at home, where he was ministered to by Rev. Tony Christie, the pastor of Woodlawn Baptist Church. He was a loving husband.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Hendricks is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, James Daniel Hendricks and Mary Alice of Escondido, CA, one brother, Edward Hendricks of Atlanta, GA, two grandchildren, Ellen Hendricks and Bryan Hendricks. Mr. Hendricks was preceded in death by his son, the late David Hendricks and his sister, the late Kathryn Hendricks Rich.
The family will receive friends on Monday July 7, 2008 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Platt’s Funeral Home Belair Rd.
