Albert James Dinicola, 78, of Waban, formerly of Wellesley, died Tuesday July 1, 2008 after a long battle with cancer. He was the beloved husband of Betty Lou (Sanger) Dinicola for 54 years.
He was born on February 24, 1930 in Holley, NY, the son of the late Vanzio and Mary (Solerno) Dinicola. After serving in the Navy for 5 years, Al attended the University of Buffalo and received his Masters Degree in Engineering. Later Al served as the VP of Cramer Electronics in Newton for many years, and then started his own Electronic Component Distribution Company, C&H Electronics in NH. When Al retired from business he became a dedicated golfer and was a long time member of the Woodland Golf Club in Auburndale.
He was the devoted father of Donald P. Dinicola of Newtown, NY, Diane L. Marsh of Topsfield, Douglas J. Dinicola of Valencia, CA, and Deborah A. Dinicola of Londonderry, NH. He was also most proud of his 12 grandchildren. Brother of Angie Gifaldi of Holley, NY, and Donald Dinicola of Lake Havasu, NV.
A funeral mass will be held in St. Paul’s Church, 502 Washington St., Wellesley, on Saturday at 9 AM. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Visiting hours omitted. Interment in Newton Cemetery.
