Obituary

Leslie J. “Les” Csenger, 61, of Grandview Road, Windham, NH died Tuesday March 11, 2003 at his home surrounded by his loving family following a lengthy illness. He was born on May 8, 1941 in Bridgeport, CT, a son of the late Ladislaus and Goldie (Drotos) Csenger. He was a resident of Windham for 24 years, formerly living in Fairfield, CT. He was a graduate of Andrew Warde High School, Fairfield, CT and the Connecticut School of Electronics, New Haven, CT. He was an US Army veteran. He was a member of St. Mark’s Church, Londonderry where he was also a member of the Knights of Columbus Council No. 10488. He was also a member of the American Society of Plumbing Engineers (ASPE), the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA), the Sea Plane Association (SPA), and the NRA. He was employed as an architectural engineering specialist for Hill-Rom Industries for over 27 years, where he was a member of the Hill-Rom Hall of Fame. He enjoyed spending time with his family. He also enjoyed hunting, flying and summering at the lakeside cottage with his family.

He is survived by his wife Betty (Sawyer) Csenger, Windham, NH, one son, John J. Csenger, Londonderry, NH, one daughter, Elizabeth “Liz” (Husband Jeffrey) Cote, Leawood, KS, three grandchildren, Aaron Cote, Bryan Cote, Paige Cote, all of Leawood, KS, one brother, John F. Csenger, Los Angeles, CA.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday March 15th at 11:00am at St. Mark’s Church, corner of South Road and Mammoth Road, Londonderry, NH. Burial will follow at Cemetery on the Plain, Windham, NH. Friends may call on Friday from 6- 8 pm at the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Road, Londonderry. Memorial contributions may be made to the Windham Firefighters Association, 3 Fellows Road, Windham, NH 03087.
