Doris K. “Dottie” Castelli, 81 of Medford, died Sunday after a long illness in the Lawrence Memorial Hospital, Medford, MA.
Born in Charlestown, she has lived in Medford for the past 30 years and was the daughter of the late Doris (Johnson) and David Heffernan. She worked in the Tax Department for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts for 15 years and retired in 1991. Beloved wife of Joseph Castelli. Devoted mother of Stephen Castelli and his wife Eileen of Burlington, Joanne Reska and her husband Stephen of Billerica, Patrick Castelli and his wife Kathy of Medford, Michael Castelli and his wife Nancy of New Hampshire. Also survived by 11loving grandchildren and 11 loving great grandchildren. Sister of Eleanor Bosari of Florida, and the late Shirley Salerno and Frances Doyle. Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., MEDFORD Thursday at 8 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Raphael Church, 512 High St., Medford, at 9 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Wednesday 4 thru 8. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
