Joel C. Pike Sr. “Pikesta” died suddenly on June 24th at home at the age of 64. Survived by his loving children Melinda Sauro of Carver, Jennifer Ruffini of Norwell and Joel C. Pike Jr. of Plymouth. He also leaves his sister Gail Agneta of Brewster, his brother Raymond Pike II of Plymouth, his 4 grandchildren Isabella Sauro, Anna and Lucca Ruffini and Brady Pike and many nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death were his parents, Raymond N. and Evelyn (Hayward) Pike and his beloved brother Gregory Pike. Joel graduated from Abington High School, was a huge fan of the Abington High School Band and enjoyed NASCAR, drag racing and traveling. He has lived in Whitman for the past 3 summers and lived most of the time in Safety Harbor, FL and had previously lived in Plymouth. Joel was known for his quick wit, sense of humor and pride in his family. Visiting hours will be held at the Richard Davis Funeral Home, 373 Court St (Rt. 3A), N. Plymouth on Wednesday July 2nd from 5 to 8 pm. There are no services and burial is private. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Jimmy Fund, 44 Binney St, Boston, MA 02215.
