Obituary

WEBSTER – Andrew G. “Andy” Pavuk, 86, died Saturday, June 28, in Blaire House, Worcester.

He leaves his wife of 55 years, Rose M. (Mihaliak) Pavuk; a daughter, Rosemary A. Dodge and her husband William Dodge of Bradenton, FL; 2 sisters, Rose Defilippo of Webster and Margaret Duszlak of North Carolina; nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his brothers George, Michael and John Pavuk and by his sisters Frances Aptacy, Ann Adams and Mary Bielik.

He was born in Bitumen, PA, the youngest son of George and Mary (Yacko) Pavuk, and moved to Webster in 1928.

He was an Army veteran of World War II, serving in Tunisia, Sicily and Italy.

Mr. Pavuk was truck driver, first for Langevin Express in Webster for Pezza Transportation in Rhode Island and then for Anchor Glass in Dayville, CT, retiring in 1987. He was a member of Saint Louis Church. He enjoyed fishing.

The funeral will be held Thursday, July 3, from Sitkowski & Malboeuf Funeral Home, 340 School St., with a Mass at 10:00 AM in Saint Louis Church, 14 Lake Street. Burial will be in Saint Anthony’s Cemetery. The Webster-Dudley Veterans Council will provide the military honors. A calling period will be from 8:15 to 9:15 AM Thursday, July 3, in the funeral home. Donations in his name may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, Mass. Chapter, 311 Arsenal St., Watertown, MA 02472.
