Allan E. “The Buzzard” Bain, 76 of Medway died June 28 in his home following a brief illness. He was the husband of Gloria (Bourgeois) Bain.
Born Norwood, February 29, 1932, the son of the late Allan C. and Florence V. (Parsons) Bain, Mr. Bain was raised and lived in Westwood for 17 years and had lived in Norfolk and Medway for the past 45 years.
Mr. Bain was the owner and founder of A.E. Bain Concrete Form Company, which is a well known construction company in the Greater Medway area.
Mr. Bain was an antique buff and also a lover of motorcycles.
He was a board member of the Central Mass Model T. Club and was a member of several motorcycle clubs in New England.
Mr. Bain also loved to snow mobile.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children; Allan Bain of Medway, Larry Bain of Dennis, Barbara Ohanian of Medway, Linda Trice of Bellingham, Patty Belhuemuer of Millville, Diane Doucette of Woonsocket, Edward Bain of Douglas and Russell Bain of Franklin.
He is also survived by his stepson, Gary Barefoot of Plainville and his daughter-in-law, Claire Bain of Medway.
He was the father of the late Ronald, Andrew, Warren and Henry Bain and Donna Donovan.
He is also survived by his sister, Beverly Norton of Norwood, 24 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
His funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 2 in the Community Church of West Medway at 11:00 a.m.
Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in West Medway.
Calling hours will be on Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. in the Ginley-Crowley Funeral Home, 3 Barber St. in Medway.
