Manchester– Leonidas “Leo” E. Beaule, 91, died June 26, 2008 at Catholic Medical Center following a brief illness.
He was born in Manchester on December 4, 1916 the son of Edmond and Aldina (Samson) Beaule. He was a lifelong resident of the city.
He served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II.
He worked for Gosselin’s Hardware in the Sheet metal Department for over 40 years, as well as the Hillsborough County Courthouse for 11 years.
He was a member of the Catholic War Veterans Post 1749 of Ste. Marie Parish. He was also a member of the Queen City Promenaders.
Family members include his wife of 40 years, Rita (Coll) Beaule, of Manchester, sons Adrien Beaule, of Bedford, Raymond Beaule, Donald Beaule, both of Manchester, Maurice Beaule, of Florida, a daughter Pauline Lacasse, of Northwood, a son Raymond Trottier, of Woburn MA., daughters Therese DesRosiers, of Manchester, Pauline Bell, of Auburn, Jeanne Richard, of Rochester, 22 grandchildren, several great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was predeceased by his 1st wife Yvette (Gagnon) Beaule who died in 1965.
Services: Calling hours will be Sunday from 6 to 9 pm at J. N. Boufford & Sons Funeral Home 110 Bridge St.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Monday at 10 am in Ste. Marie Parish, Notre Dame Ave.
Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
