Worcester—Susan G. (Skinner) Bibeau, 97, passed away Thursday, June 26, 2008, in Saint Vincent Hospital after a short illness. Her husband of 55 years, Edgar N. Bibeau, died in 1996. She leaves her son, Kenneth E. Bibeau of Worcester; 2 Godsons, John J. Skinner of Natick and J. Michael Bibeau of Shrewsbury; and several nieces, nephews, grandnieces, & grandnephews. She was predeceased by 3 brothers: Nicholas, George, and John Skinner. Susan was born in Boston, daughter of Mary E. (Bradley) and Nicholas B. Skinner. She was raised in Cambridge and was a graduate of Cambridge High & Latin School and later attended business school in Worcester. In 1933, she moved to Southbridge where she was a superintendent for American Optical Co. for 24 years. She has lived in Worcester for the past 48 years. She was an active member of Our Lady of the Rosary Parish and belonged to Opera Worcester, Music Worcester, Retired State, County & Municipal Employees Assoc., and Worcester County Light Opera. She retired from the City of Worcester, Hope Cemetery office.
Funeral services will be held Monday, June 30, from Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln Street with an 11:00 a.m. mass at Our Lady of the Rosary, 23 Fales Street. Burial will be in Mount Auburn Cemetery, Cambridge. Calling hours will be held Sunday, June 29 at Nordgren Memorial Chapel from 4-7 p.m. Flowers may be sent.
