
SPC Joshua Lee Plocica, 20, Clarksville, went home to be with the Lord, Wednesday, June 25, 2008, he gave his life in Baghdad, Iraq fighting for our freedom. The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Neal-Tarpley Chapel with Pastor Jimmy Russell officiating. Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Gardens with full military honors. Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Thursday and from 9 am until the hour of the service Friday at the funeral home. Neal-Tarpley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. He was born October 18, 1987 and graduated from Rossview High School May 22, 2006. He joined the United States Army before graduation and left for basic training August 8, 2006. He was stationed in Ft. Hood, TX., then deployed to Iraq March 9th, 2008. He was assigned to the 166th Armor/4ID in Baghdad. He was the recipient of the Purple Heart and Bronze Star Medals. He was preceded in death by Barney (Pa B) Corbin, CWII Leo and Loretta Ringle, and Eugene and Louella Conley. Joshua leaves behind many people who loved and cherished him in the short time we had with him including his mother and stepfather, Lisa and Keith Thompson; his father and stepmother, David & Patricia Corbin; sister, Brenna Corbin; step-brother, Nicholas Haneline; his grandparents, CWO III Michael & Georgie True; Linda Jorgenson-Corbin; Bill Bailey, Sr.; Lee and Ellen Daniels; J. Jones, and Lowell Thompson, Sr.; his aunts, Billie Hess (Joel), Laura ( MSG William) Clark, Jennifer (Chris) Maestas, Melissa (William) Hardin, Tammy (Joey) Dailey, Janice (Robert) Linville, Kim Corbin (Jon), Diana (Steve) Matthews, his uncles, Billy Bailey, Jr., Todd Thompson (Debbie), Tony (Shelia) Thompson, Alex Conley, and great uncle, Lloyd (Marieda) Conley. He also has cousins: Keri and David, Danielle, Billy, Julia and Cameron Clark, Hope and Tara Maestas, Megan and Cody Bailey, Ashley Thompson, Chad Brooks, Zachary Matthews, Shannon Falen, Alexis, Adriana and Ashlan Hardin, Joey Alyssa and Mykalah Dailey, Damien and Nicole Linville, Matthew Coleman, and Amanda Miller.
Josh was and always will be the light of our lives. You were truly an angel sent to us for such a short time.
