Boston – Dean R. Gilmore, 57, of Acushnet died after a brief illness on June 21, 2008 at Mass. General Hospital. He was the husband of Elaine J. (Dabrowski) Mello Gilmore.
Mr. Gilmore was born in New Bedford, son of Stephen Gilmore of Acushnet and the late Carolyn S. (Kirby) Gilmore, and was a lifelong resident of the town. He was employed as a counselor by the Mass. Rehabilitation Commission. He enjoyed reading and spending time with his family.
In addition to his widow and father, he is survived by his children: Stephen J. Gilmore and his wife Sherrie A. of Tallahassee, FL and Julie A. Gilmore of Acushnet; 2 brothers: Kirby S. Gilmore and Benjamin A. Gilmore II both of Rochester; 2 grandchildren: Jesse D. and Mackenzie A. Gilmore both of Tallahassee, FL; and several nieces & nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial service on Saturday, June 28, 2008 at 11:00 A.M. at the First Congregational Church of Rochester, 11 Constitution Way, Rochester.
