Hazel L."Terry" (Reeks) Slaney,61,died suddenly Saturday, June 21 in St. Vincent Hospital in Worcester after a brief illness.
She leaves her husband of 28 years, Maurice J. Slaney, Jr., four daughters June Sanchez and her husband Edward of Leicester, Dawn Reeks and her fiance Edward Friel of Rochdale, Sherry C. Stumpo and her husband Paul of Spencer and Pamela Deleon and her husband Vilder of Clinton, a brother Anthony Reeks, three sisters Mary Fallon, Jane Starbard and her husband Mitchell and Lois Salazar and her husband Marvin, four grandchildren Tiffini Torres, Tiana Stumpo, Chelsea and Justin Friel, and several nieces and nephews.
Born in Worcester, she was the daughter of Louis and June (Burdett) Reeks.
Terry was a retired home health caregiver who enjoyed shopping and vacationing in Maine. Terry was a dedicated mother and grandmother. She enjoyed spending time with her family and had an unconditional love for them. She will be greatly missed and always in our hearts..
A Memorial Mass will be held on Thursday, June 26 at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of the Rosary Church, 7 Church St., Spencer. There are no calling hours. Please omit flowers.
