Obituary

Laconia-Cecile Paulette Gilman, 88, of 406 Court Street, formerly of 25 Damy Drive, Franklin died Saturday morning, June 21, 2008 at St. Francis Health Care Center in Laconia.

Cecile was the daughter of the late Lucien N. and Alberine (Fortin) Paquette. She was born in Laconia on December 8, 1919 where she was raised and schooled graduating from Sacred Heart School.

She had worked at the former Belknap Mills and Scott & Williams. Upon their closure she then moved to Burlington, Vermont where she was employed by General Electric as an inspector. Upon her retirement in 1983 she moved back to New Hampshire residing in Franklin.

Cecile was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church in Laconia.

Cecile was predeceased by her husband Leon Gilman in 1960. She is also predeceased by three brothers, Thomas, Bertrand, and Albert Paquette, and four sisters, Beatrice Fecteau, Madonne Dunn, Violet Haberland, and Lucienne Daoust.

Cecile is survived by her brother Roger Paquette and his wife Barbara of Laconia. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and cousins.

Visiting hours were Tuesday, June 24, 2008 from 6-8 pm at the Simoneau-Paquette Memorial, 139 Church Street, Laconia.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Wednesday June 25, 2008 at St. Joseph Church, 30 Church Street, Laconia at 10:00 a.m. Burial followed in the family lot at Park Cemetery, Tilton.
