Obituary

Hudson- Richard C. Gannon, Jr., 58 died June 19, 2008 in Marlboro Hospital. He leaves four brothers, Paul J. and his wife Joanne of Shrewsbury, Francis L. of Wrentham, David W. of Worcester, and Robert C. Gannon of Northbridge. He also leaves a nephew and two nieces, Paul, Julie, and Justine Gannon.

Richard was born in Worcester, son of the late Richard C. Gannon Sr. and Ann R. (Alu) Gannon-Moriarty. He attended the Adult Day Health Program at Seven Hills in Worcester. The family would like to thank the staff of Seven Hills for their care for Richard over the years.

Richard enjoyed music, especially viewing Lawrence Welk reruns every evening and listening to Beatle songs. His favorite restaurant was Denny’s in Worcester. Richard enjoyed and made great coffee. Among his favorite sayings were “You’re Fired” and “Want a cigar?”. Richard liked the comfort of being home and enjoyed those around him. He especially loved his family.

A funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, June 25, 2008 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Mary's Church in Shrewsbury. Burial will be in Saint John's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Seven Hills Foundation, 81 Hope Ave., Worcester, MA 01603.
