Loving sister of Marilyn Redmond of Wellesley, Katherine White of Boston, Carolyn Connors of Wellesley, Denise Swan of Boston, William J. Galvin, Jr. of Charlestown, and the late Ellen Daley and Nancy Galvin. Devoted grandmother of Alexa, Drew, Brad, Krista, Dean and Brielle Prouty.

Mary Galvin Prouty, a longtime resident of Hingham, died Friday, March 7, of natural causes. During her lifetime she enjoyed tennis, skiing, and summering on the beach. She volunteered her free time to helping the elderly and the homeless. A devoted mother and grandmother, she will be greatly missed.
