Obituary


Holden – David C. Landers, 58, of Jefferson died on Thursday, June 19 in his home after a short illness.

He is survived by his wife Cynthia Landers, a stepson Michael Saffron, and a stepdaughter Anne Saffron all of Jefferson; a sister Frances Poirier of Haverhill; and two nephews Ronald and Craig Poirier. David was born in Lawrence son of the late Sgt. Francis and Mary Louise (Reason) Landers and served in the United States Army Reserves.

Mr. Landers graduated from Central Catholic High School in Lawrence, received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Massachusetts Lowell, a Masters of Science from the College for Financial Planning, and an Advanced Financial Degree from the University of Phoenix.

He was a Certified Financial Planner and an IRS Enrolled Agent. David owned and operated Landers & Associates with offices in Rye, NH and Holden. Mr. Landers enjoyed reading, finances, traveling, and attained the rank of Eagle Scout as a young man. He also loved the ocean and spending time with family.

Funeral services will be held privately. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to UMass Memorial Hospice, c/o UMass Memorial Foundation, Biotech One, 650 Lincoln Street, Worcester, MA 01613 or the Holden Fire Department 1384 Main Street Holden, MA 01520.
