Obituary

Lawton S. Lemacks, 95, of Ridgeville, widower of Anne Crosby Lemacks, died Tuesday, June 17, 2008 at his residence.

Funeral service will be held Friday, June 20, 2008 at 2 o’clock at James A. Dyal Funeral Home Chapel, Summerville. Burial will follow in Beech Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 6 until 8 o’clock this evening. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to: Lowcountry Baptist Church, 530 Beech Hill Road, Summerville, SC 29485.

Mr. Lemacks was born April 3, 1913 in Ravenel, son of the late W.H. Lemacks and Sadie Enfinger Lemacks. He attended St. Paul’s High School. He was a member of Westvaco Retiree’s Association and a charter member of First Baptist Church of Ravenel. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening. He retired from Westvaco as an outside mechinist.

Surviving are:
4 children: Nettie L. Patrick and her husband Perry of Hollywood, Vern Lemacks and his wife Dee of Charleston, Ann Marie Lemacks of Ridgeville and Eddie Lemacks and his wife Debbie of Columbia.
6 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his wife Anne Crosby Lemacks of 44 years, son, Lawton L. “Buddy” Lemacks, his parents and all nine siblings.
