LaPierre of E. Bridgewater, March 8, 2003, William H. LaPierre, 84 years. Husband of the late Florence E. (Moran) LaPierre. Father of William A. LaPierre of Plymouth, Gerard K. LaPierre of E. Bridgewater and Janine Harkins of Brockton. He also leaves 5 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held Tuesday at 1:45pm in the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne.
Obituary Information
Mr. LaPierre died Saturday evening at New England Sinai Hospital, Stoughton after a brief illness.. Born in Grand Desert, Nova Scotia, he was a son of the late Frank and Rose (Bonin) LaPierre. He had been active in military service, from 1942 to 1978. He was a veteran of WWII serving in the US Army Air Force and after the war served with the Massachusetts National Guard in the 26th Yankee Division, from 1946-1978. He had been a Supply Sergeant and retired as Chief of Publications for the National Guard in 1978. After his retirement from the National Guard he was employed by the Weymouth Naval Base, retiring in 1996. He was an avid Red Sox fan.
He is survived by his two sons William A. LaPierre of Plymouth and Gerard K. LaPierre of E. Bridgewater and one daughter Janine Harkins of Brockton. He also leaves 5 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren, one sister Mary Bonano of Rockland and one step sister Madelon LeBlanc of Harrison ME.
He was the brother of the late Dorothy McMorrow and Francis LaPierre
