Obituary

James J. Snow 74 years of Brockton June 18, 2008 after a brief illness with Mesothelioma. James was the son of the late James and Noella (Gaumont) Snow and has been a resident of Brockton since 1972. He was raised in Hyde Park and was a graduate of Boston Technical HS class of 1952; he also attended Newbury Jr. College.

James served in the US Air Force serving for 2 years in Puerto Rico during the Korean Conflict. He was a purchasing agent for the D.J. Cutter and Company Inc of Dorchester retiring in 1999 after 40 years of service. James was a member of the American Legion Post 35, the Cedar Hill Golf Course of Stoughton and a Brockton High School Band Booster. He enjoyed a good game of golf but most especially preferred spending time with his family.

James is survived by his wife of 51 years Patricia A. (McMahon) Snow; his children Michelle P. of Brockton, Deborah J. of West Yarmouth, Sharon M. and her husband Tim Warlick, of SC, Michael P. and his wife April of VA, and Kevin S. and his wife Gail of RI; his sister Carol A. Briggs of VT and 6 grandchildren Tara and Colleen Wetherbee of W. Yarmouth, Mason and Raymond Warlick of SC, and Connor and Brendan Snow of VA. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and was predeceased by his brother Robert P.

Funeral from the Conley Funeral Home 138 Belmont Street (Rte. 123) Brockton Monday at 8 AM followed by a funeral mass in Our Lady of Lourdes Church at 9 AM. Burial in Knollwood Memorial Park Canton.
