Billy Joe Battle was born on January 9, 1950 to the late Jordan Davis, Sr. and Elmira Hamlett Battle.
He accepted Jesus Christ in July 1964 and joined the Union Hill Primitive Baptist Church under the pastorship of elder Otha Battle.
He departed this life on Monday June 16, 15 his dear friend's home.
The memories of Billy will always be cherished by his very dear and devoted friend, Ophelia Thirston; his mother, Elmira Battle, his sister, Shirley Smartt of San Diego, California; three brothers, Minister Jordan Davis, Elder Bobby Joe and Minister Jerome Battle all of Huntsville, Alabama and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Mr. Billy Battle will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 21, 2008 from the Union Hill P. B. Church 2115 Winchester Road) with Reverend Dr. Oscar L. Montgomery officiating.
Interment will be in Valley View Memorial Gardens. The remains of Mr. Battle will be in the church one hour prior to funeral time.
