
Helen A. (Principe) Hennigar, 84 years of Brockton died Monday after a brief illness. She was the wife of the late Bernard Hennigar. Helen was born and raised in Brockton a daughter of the late James and Rosella (McLaughlin) Principe. A1941 graduate of Brockton High School she had lived in Brockton and West Bridgewater for most of her life. For 16 years she had resided in Hudson, Florida. Following her retirement from Foxboro Company she was a volunteer teacher’s aide at the Downey Elementary School. Helen enjoyed golf, bingo and bowling and been a member of the Foxboro Bowling League. She had been a longtime communicant of St. Colman Church. Helen is survived by her sister Madeline Meade of Brockton, her niece Patricia Nelson of Brockton and many great nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Deputy Fire Chief James L. Principe, Marie Principe and William Principe.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Christ the King/St. Colman Parish Thursday at 9 am. Burial will be private. Visiting hours are omitted. Donations in Helen’s name may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
