Methuen, Ma. – Antonette M. (Valentino) Rumore, 85, died Monday at home surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Lawrence, daughter of Vincenzo and Maria (Greco) Valentino. Mrs. Rumore was a graduate of Lawrence High School class of “1939”.
She was a longtime resident of Methuen and a communicant of Saint Monica’s Church as well as a 50 year parishoner.
According to her family she was an excellent cook, who also enjoyed needle point. Taking care of her grandchildren was not a chore, but a pleasure.
She leaves her husband of 63 yrs. John P. Rumore.
Survivors include sons; John D. and his wife Susan Rumore of Atkinson, NH, James J. and his wife Marialice Rumore of Methuen, and Mark M. and his wife Mary of Goffstown, NH, 7 grandchildren, 3 greatgrandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian burial will take place on Thursday morning at 9 o’clock in Saint Monica’s Church with burial to follow in the Immaculate Conception Cemetery.
Friends may pay their respects on Wednesday from 4-7 P.M. at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, Inc. 233 Lawrence Street in Methuen.
