Obituary

Sawler, Lester Moulton, 91, of Kingston,formerly of Pembroke and Halifax, passed away on June 15th. He was born in Dorchester on July 1, 1916. He is predeceased by his beloved wife of 53 years, Eleanor Goodearl Sawler. Mr. Sawler grew up in Avon. He served in the US Navy during WWII. He was a cabinetmaker and carpenter who worked with his father and his brother and later with both of his sons. Survivors include his children who would attest to having “the best Dad in the world”; Judith (Donald) Archibald of Waxhaw, N.C.; Barbara (William) Salmi of Land O’ Lakes, FL, Alan (Laurie) Sawler of Kingston; and Donald (Paula) Sawler of Hanson. He is also survived by his brother, Albert (Elaine) Sawler of Avon, and grandchildren Tom, Bonnie ,Jim, Michael, Chris, Scott, Taylor, Lee and Brooke and six greatgrandchildren. Visitation will be held at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 216 Main St.,Kingston on Wed. June 18 from 4-8PM. A funeral service will be held on Thurs. from the Shepherd Funeral Home at 9:30AM. Interment in Central Cemetery, Halifax. Memorial donations may be made to Cranberry Area Hospice,36 Cordage Park Circle, Suite 326, Plymouth, MA 02360.
