Helen Susann (Curry) Dubowski, 80, of Franklin, died peacefully Monday, June 16, 2008 at her home surrounded by family. She was the wife of Vincent J. Dubowski for almost 58 years.
Born in New Britain, CT on November 11, 1927, she was a daughter of the late Alexander “Sandy” and Laura (Murchison) Curry. Mrs. Dubowski was a resident of Franklin for the past 45 years. She was raised in Hampstead, NH and graduated from Hampstead High School.
Before her retirement, she worked for many years as the production controller at Arrow Business Forms in Medfield and had also formerly worked in personnel at the Wrentham State School.
Mrs. Dubowski was a communicant of St. Mary's Church in Franklin. She was an avid reader and enjoyed spending time with her family and wintering in Palm Springs, CA where she had many good friends.
Besides her husband, she is survived by her children, Laura Dubowski of New York City, V. Sandy Dubowski and his wife, Karen of Franklin and Mary Ann Furlong and her husband, Gerald of Thousand Oaks, CA.
She is also survived by five grandchildren, Brian, Jennifer and Kelly Dubowski and Elizabeth and Laura Furlong and a sister, Alta Jenuwine of Marshall, TX.
She was a sister of the late Rudy Curry and Peggy Reininger.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral on Friday, June 20 at 8:15 a.m. from the Ginley Funeral Home of Franklin, 131 Main St., Franklin, followed by a funeral Mass at St. Mary’s Church in Franklin at 9 a.m. Burial will follow at the parish cemetery.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 4 – 8 p.m.
